From the moment you step off the plane at Velena International Airport the feeling is unique. Surrounded by water as soon as you exit the Arrivals area you are transported by boat to your destination. Be it a local Village or Safari boat the sensation is exhilarating and vastly different to the normal transfer in other parts of the World.

CENTRAL ATOLLS
Maldives Central Atolls consist of many Uninhabited Islands that are not so common especially in North and South Male Atolls however there are many outside of these two Atolls.
Surfing the Central Atolls is becoming a major attraction for surfers from all over the World because upon leaving North Male the crowd factor diminishes and the feeling becomes different. A Safari in these remote Island Atolls offers a look at the real Maldivian paradise.
There are reliably consistant waves in all Atolls except Vaavu, which is the most spectacular Atoll for a scenic cruise. Meemu, Dhaalu, Thaa, and Laamu offer many surf points and work on South West to South East swell. An experienced surf guide is a great asset in this region.
Some of the more famous surf points in the Centrals are F’Ones, Mauroofs, The Farm, Chambers, Ying Yangs and Machines.
